I am taking some time away from making art & teaching art to speak about various pieces that are significant and important. Not that they are better than the rest, but they speak to how my mind is working during the art making and even before the art making. In fact, it speaks to the impact the art has on me when I start to figure out what my subconscious is expressing. Strange that abstraction can be so concise at times. Love it very much.

conversation with John Baker & Libbie Soffer, who is showing along side Alan @ 3 pm
Alan's drawings with hot wax on wood, sometimes morphing into paintings. I believe this is a unique approach. And if you love the appeance and surface of wood, you'll love this work.
